A dynamic organization, headquartered in the St. Louis Area, is seeking a Director of Finance. This role will lead and manage the administration and accounting of existing US and International Markets. Responsibilities include analyzing and managing monthly financial statements, leading month-end, quarter-end and annual reporting, and maintaining SOX documentation as well as providing support for external and internal SOX audits. This position will also mentor associates and perform management duties, including, but not limited to hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and disciplining while fostering a positive and engaging work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
- 8-10 years accounting or audit experience with advanced experience in Statutory and GAAP accounting.
- 5+ years insurance industry experience.
- 5+ years supervisory or management experience.
- Advanced Excel and intermediate Access and SQL/Query skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree, and/or CPA, FLMI.
- Advanced PeopleSoft Skills
